Do you know what CERN is? It has been operational since 2008. Through the study of subatomic particles we are been shown the building blocks of life. CERN is a particle collider situated in Geneva where scientists study subatomic particles by sending particles around a 27km long tunnel and colliding them together at incredible speed. It cost more than $7.5 Billion to create, over 10,000 scientists from all over the world have worked on the project  and it is funded from a conglomerate of world nations.
